the doe and her fawn
Last week, after a day of blood, sweat and tears..
while leaving the parking lot in the southern hills,
I stopped the car to be of some assistance. Now I understand
that deer are not that uncommon and quite pesky to grass
and land, but I love them.. if you know me, you know animals
are quite dear to me.
There was a woman and son stopped in their car headed south,
a man from a northbound car holding
his head walking towards their car. He was very distraught.
I stood on the sidewalk for about one minute to decide what to do.
There was a deer laying down in front of her right front tire,
and a baby deer still in the sack had popped out of her belly.
The man ended up leaving and ever so sad.
The woman with her son in the passenger side was calm but
sad, they stayed in the car to phone for assistance.
I decided to sit with the deer.
This small story is to pay homage to our amazing wildlife on this
planet right now. I understand why and how we have succumb
to industrialization.
I grieve a bit at our misunderstanding of why we are here.
My thoughts are a product of my perception.. the doe
and her nearly fawn were beautiful.
Please do be careful out there, flying your vehicle on the backroads
or in neighborhoods. Be wakeful.

modern dance hits the heights
Chunky Move is an Australian based dance company which began in some of the earliest 1990's with Gideon Obarzaneks at the front of intermedia discovery. While Gideon has moved on, the company remains. I am in awe of the entire process, fundamental liberation, and whole being.. gentle, warm, tears of respect.

and along came a spider
I have recently returned from a hometown trip, and was gifted a poem written by AJDubbz in his childhood years. There is something in a child's mind, which ebbs and flows with imagination like nothing we can capture.. except for words in time. Thank you, dear and magnificent Adam.
and it goes a little something like this,
I call it..
Once I was me, but now, I am me.
When my mom screamed, she lied.
The secret of me is forever because purple dragons don't fly
through mine shafts in autumn.
My father says to me "Why don't you grow some balls."
Lemons in the summertime don't taste much sweeter than my toes.
Hidden fossils in the soul,
fuck me harder than the earth.
Odors of my sex will overpower your electric cords.
Playing in the sands of time,
we only step on seashells when dreaming of paradise.
Circles drip slime from eyeballs like big lollipops.
Orange flavored tuna in cans break through my skull.
Silently, lambs whisper in my closet.
May the toes feel the eyeballs.
Dreaming when I wake only complicates my perceptions.
To the grass I fly,
into oceans far, far away.
Breathing, breathlessly I tumble,
only to fall again.
Once I was me, but now,
I am me.
Platters of my affection are strewn onto your body.
Transparent seas look opaque in my light.
The generations of death only come every day for 7 years.
To steal one's inner beauty,
one needs to suffer.
When the tide breaks against my shell,
I only feel alone.
My crashing waves on.
The asphalt sounds like nothing.
Reflections of your face on the spilled milk puddle,
shine brightly in your likeness.

and you have spoken
Under The Root belongs to a wondrous and majestic group of makes and shakers called EcoEtsy. I might mention here, the leader of many, Karen Lee, is astounding us across the globe. A couple months back, one of the writers offered a grand article using our nose sniffing, tracking devices to find out which designs have caught the eye of buyers.
Here are the top five designs since 2008.
Panoplies Prop Top has our top spot.
The next on the list are Arabesque Arm Spats.
Bamboozlement Bloomers in third times a charm.
A Nixie Garden Garter Belt flitters into fourth.
Sailing in on a five point star Victorian Bloomers.
and just for treehouse giggles, the sixth most sold designs..
was the Happiness Hipster.
The tiptop list for Under The Root sales was divine to see, and inspiration with this mindful studio for our next collection AW2012.. which is swirling around in sketches and swatches as I share with you now.
It is a bit difficult with words to offer salutations to the sprites out there whom have made this list by supporting Under The Root. My way of returned gratitude is quality in designs, exquisite workmanship and a blush when given the chance to help our earthbound culture raised in spacetime consciousness.
Thank you oh so very with kibbles on top.
